The coach of an elite cheerleading squad which featured in Netflix's hit 'Cheer' is being sued over allegations she and Navarro College failed to investigate sexual assault accusations.
Former cheerleader Madi Lane says that she was assaulted by teammate Salvatore Amico in her dorm room in September 2021.
According to the lawsuit, coach Monica Aldama, other cheerleaders, campus police and the college's Title IX coordinator allegedly discouraged Lane from reporting the incident. Read More...
