E! News can confirm Shawty Lo, known for co-founding Atlanta-based rap group D4L, perished at the age of 40 in a fiery, single-car crash in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
A spokesperson for the Fulton County Police Department tells E! News authorities received a call around 2:20 AM alerting them of the accident.
