Redeem now Loveland, Colorado, has agreed to pay 73-year-old Karen Garner $3 million following her violent arrest. Garner, who has dementia, was arrested in June 2020 after being accused of stealing $14 worth of items fro a Walmart. "The settlement with Karen Garner will help bring some closure to an unfortunate event in our community but does not upend the work we have left to do," the city said in a statement. Read More...
A woman has accused MMA fighter Conor McGregor of raping her at Game 4 of the NBA Finals on June 9. The allegations were laid out in a letter from attorney Ariel Mitchell to McGregor, the NBA, and the Miami Heat. According to the letter, McGregor "violently" sexually assaulted Mitchell's client in a bathroom at the Kaseya Center in Miami.
Furthermore, the letter accuses security guards of separating the alleged victim from her friend and forcing her into a men's bathroom. Read More...
